Before establishing his firm in April 2022, Evan honed his legal skills and knowledge as an Assistant District Attorney with the Schoharie County District Attorney's Office. In this capacity, he represented the office in local, county, and supreme courts, managing a wide array of responsibilities. In this role he worked in 16 local and higher courts, giving him broad perspective on the legal landscape.

What should I expect during my first consultation?You'll speak with Sam or Nicole. We will ask you questions about your current situation and your timeline. We want to ensure that our abilities match your needs, and that we have the capacity to deliver you the best possible results. If we're tentatively able to take your case on, we'll schedule a call with Evan.

How do I know if I need a lawyer for my situation?Evan will be transparent. If you need a lawyer, he'll tell you so. And if he thinks another attorney will do a better job representing you, he'll pass along their info. If Evan takes on your case, you can trust that he will work hard for your best possible outcome. If you're facing criminal charges, need to declare bankruptcy, or in the midst of a landlord/tenant dispute, he will advise you with expertise and help you carefully weigh your legal options.

What should I expect from a Chapter 7 bankruptcy case?Chapter 7 is a liquidation bankruptcy procedure. Sam will give you a list of documents to put together and afterwards we'll set up an appointment to sit down in the office and complete the petition.

What is your billing structure?Billings are calculated based on the complexity and projected duration of the case. Before any billing occurs, we will discuss and align on a retainer and preview the work required.
