Before establishing his firm in April 2022, Evan honed his legal skills and knowledge as an Assistant District Attorney with the Schoharie County District Attorney's Office. In this capacity, he represented the office in local, county, and supreme courts, managing a wide array of responsibilities. In this role he worked in 16 local and higher courts, giving him broad perspective on the legal landscape.

Evan Lane
Evan's legal journey began at Donovan Laughlin and Laughlin, LLC, where he served as a paralegal while attending law school. While there, he gained invaluable experience in criminal law, real estate, family law, and various other legal areas.

Evan attended law school at Western New England School of Law. He then worked as an Assistant District Attorney in Schoharie County until 2022, when he founded his own legal practice.

Evan grew up on a farm outside of Cherry Valley, NY, milking cows and biking to school. He starred on his high school basketball team, going on to play professionally for both the Washington Generals and in a league in Tunisia.
Paralegal
Sam Tarbell
Sam has been a paralegal for 40 years. She grew up in North Carolina and moved to upstate New York permanently in 1985.

Sam became interested in law after experiencing a banking error that resulted in a landlord/tenant dispute she handled herself, endearing her to the DA in the process and beginning her journey as a legal clerk.

Sam has supported hundreds of cases, particularly in landlord and tenant disputes and Chapter 7 Bankruptcy.

Nicole Anton
Nicole is originally from Queens, NY. She moved to Middleburg during high school and started her undergrad at SUNY Cobleskill, simultaneously obtaining a Communications and English Associates Degrees. Later at U Albany, she received a Political Science BA with a focus on International Relations.

Nicole will be pursuing her own degree in law as she is deeply invested in working within the parameters of society to affect positive change. She believes hardships can be overcome, and sees law as an opportunity to pursue second chances for all.
